Whether it is a separation from your loved ones, nature’s unforeseen wrath, or the constant changes surrounding us, our responses to these events affect us in the most unexpected ways.   In experiencing these events—particularly in our attempts to influence and control them--one finds passion, dreams, joy, anger, disappointment and sorrow. Expressing these emotions on canvas is irresistible to me—it’s why I paint.  As Georgia O’Keefe said: “I found I could say things with colors that I couldn’t say in any other way, things that I had no words for”.  Inspired by Music and Nature, memories and emotions are revealed, transformed into shapes, colors, marks and lines. Even though the result is an intense personal journey, the viewer is encouraged to react to, interpret, and experience what is on the canvas in his or her own way.  I love the challenge, freedom and spontaneity of abstract painting--even as countless decisions are rapidly made about composition, colors and values.

I been juried into The National Association of Women Artists (NAWA); and as an exhibiting member of the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury, NJ. And the Boca Raton Museum of Art in Florida. Many of my paintings have won awards, and are in private and corporate collections throughout the US, Canada and the UK.
